Well I'm speaking of choices.We all made choices today.Like the whole of today has been built on Choices.
Everyone's life,some how some way has been built on choices,your mum decided not to abort you and now you are here.Your dad and mum decided to do sumn somewhere and you were born.Nkanai decided to start a blog and now you're here😀Sooner or later you all are gonna realize that life all about choices.
The sooner you realize that your choices affect you each and everyday,the better.
To me.This Generation,yes today's generation;us teenagers have given other people the remote control to our life,like we've handed someone the remote and told them here you go take my life and make me do stuff!
And its sickening..really it is..
We've failed yo realize that each and everyday is a choice we make.Did you know that you can choose to be happy or sad?Did you know that Today you can choose to start showing more respect to yourself amd cut of people you are draining your energy over nothing?Did you know that at any moment now,you can choose to end your life just get to the top of a tower And to hell with Life?Yes that's how great you are.
Maybe I've told this story to some people but I'll tell it here again.
I was not thaaatt goooodddd in Kiswahili.Today people look at me and ask how I do that stuff,how I understand how I get all that vocabulary well its simple.I decided.
I was in class 7,yea I remember everyone's Insha was like wwooooowww everyone wrote so well,everyone was so good in Kiswahili and I was just there.And someday, a boy called James Arita told me that his Inshas would always be better than mine cause I was not good enough. And in my gut,I made a promise.Within me I had made a promise that I was not going to settle for what he put there for me And so I rose. I decided.I made a choice.I worked harder.I wrote more.I read more.I spoke more.I decided that I won't be that girl he wanted me to be.And by KCSE I was so good no one believed it.
You see?CHOICES!.You know people think being courageous is easy,or living Happy is easy or changing is easy well its not.But people decide to take the paths they want for themselves. You think you'll just go into a supermarket and find confidence there or go to a shop and see yourself in a Jar written "Better life" and think ohhh wwwwwoooowww I look great there I should probably change.well no.no its not that easy.But you get to choose.Today you get to decide what type of clothe you'll put on.Today you decide what kind of people you want around you.Today YOU decide.
Here I challenge you.
I challenge you to go for the things you want.I challenge you to take back the remote holding you back.I challenge you to make choices that are for you.I challenge you to take the bulls by the horn and be in charge of your life.
You decide to be happy.
You decide to succeed.
You decide to go for every good thing.
You decide to follow your heart.
You decide to grow.
You decide to be you.
You decide to cut weight.
You decide to gain wait.
You decide to study.
You decide to do whatever you want.
You have the power in you to decide.
So stop thinking things will fall from heaven or success will just put itself in your locker and you open and it screams "wwooww I'm here take me!" No its not like that baby.
You wake up you toughen up and you decide.No I'm not gonna let this thing be this way anymore.I'm not gonna let people step on me anymore.No I'm not gonna fail anymore.No I'm not gonna be unhappy anymore.
You can decide to have your story changed,Today.You have the power to decide that things are gonna end differently for you.Cause believe me or not,You are just one decision away,one choice away from a totally different life.Just one.
